Since 1964, Coaver Club has remained dedicated to providing an enriching and exciting social experience for its members — creating a welcoming atmosphere that promotes socialising, networking, and community-building within Devon County Council.
Our Story
Founded in 1964, Coaver Club has been a cornerstone of the Devon County Council community for over 60 years. What started as a small gathering space has grown into a thriving social hub with a gym, bar, café, and events hall. An annual membership fee of £37.20 is all it takes to join. Membership is open to Devon County Council employees, DCC-linked organisations (including Devon & Cornwall Police, Exeter City Council, South West Water, Academies and NHS), sports team members, and local residents within the catchment area.
Today we continue to invest in our facilities. from band nights and quiz nights to Pilates, volleyball, cricket, and table tennis. There's always something for everyone at Coaver Club.

Available for use anytime for just £40/year. Great for fitness at your leisure.
🍷 Bar
Open Tuesday–Thursday 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Weekend hours vary — check our socials for updates.
🎵 Events Hall
Band nights, discos, quiz nights, and private parties. A versatile space for all occasions.
☕ Café
Open Monday–Friday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Hot drinks, cakes, snacks, and the famous Friday bacon baps!
